Product Description
The Interactive P2 media center, whilst improving vastly over the P1, is a triumph of contemporary styling. You won't believe what this little wonder is capable of. As a professional media center for your home, the P2 packs in the best bits of a high-end PC, and media center alike.
Where shall we begin? You get exceptional Blu-ray and DVD playback with true HD bitstreaming. Also included is a dual digital TV tuner that allows recording of two TV shows simultaneously. The speed of the media center comes from the latest generation of quad core processors and high speed memory. To top it off, we upped the storage capacity to 1TB- to a maximum of 3TB. And yes, the P2 holds its own because it's capable of running both Windows and Linux operating systems.
The latest generation of AMD's Phenom II quad core processors offer astounding performance for the right price. Having 4 cores means that your media encoding/decoding takes 4 times as less time compared to traditional single-core processing.
Powered by Radeon HD 4200 graphics, connect up to 2 1080p HD displays to your media center simultaneously with full HDCP support. Analog devices, such as VGA-only projectors, can also be hooked up with relative ease. Maximum resolution per display is 2560 x 1600 pixels.
The included dual tuners offer true digital recording of up to 2 TV shows at the same time. You can also connect your set-top box to the P2 for recording subscription programming. With your favorite shows now on your media center, you can take up role of a professional video editor, but without the hassle.
Your media center natively supports playback of not only Blu-ray, but also HD-DVD, and DVD disks. The included optical drive can also be used to burn DVD disks. We are also offering upgrade to Blu-ray burning capability for a small price.
Powered by the best sound device available, the ASUS Xonar HDVA 1.3 provides lossless sound quality for your enjoyment. You can choose to get your audio over HDMI or coaxial interface. Practically speaking, you will find it easy connecting your amps to the media center.
1TB of hard drive space is sufficient to store hundreds and thousands of movies and songs. The internal storage of your media center can be upgraded to an astonishing 3TB, that is, if you ever run out of space.
Connect online via Wifi or LAN. The included external antenna ensures excellent signal reception from your router or modem. In case you would like to utilize wired connection instead- is also available.
The best of both worlds. While the P2 comes with Windows as the default operating system, we can also install you Kubuntu Linux OS. Both Windows and Linux can be set-up in dual-boot configuration so you could use one or the other at anytime.
